Using Wheel Pick is simple and intuitive. Follow these easy steps to make your random decisions in seconds.
Basic Usage
1. Add Your Choices
When you first visit Wheel Pick, you’ll see a wheel with default “Yes” and “No” options. To customize the wheel with your own choices:
- Type your choice in the input box on the right side
- Click the “Add” button or press Enter
- Repeat for all your choices
The first time you add your own choice, the default Yes/No options will be cleared automatically.
2. Spin the Wheel
Once you’ve added all your choices:
- Click the “SPIN” button in the center of the wheel
- Alternatively, press Ctrl+Enter on your keyboard
- Watch as the wheel spins and gradually slows down
3. Get Your Result
After the wheel stops spinning:
- The pointer will indicate the selected choice
- The result will be displayed below the wheel
- You can reset the result by clicking the “Reset” button
Additional Features
Managing Your Choices
- Edit: Click the edit icon next to any choice to modify its text
- Delete: Click the trash icon to remove a choice from the wheel
- Shuffle: Click the shuffle button to randomly reorder all your choices
- Clear All: Click the trash button in the header to remove all choices
Saving Your Wheel
Your wheel configuration is automatically saved in your browser’s local storage. This means:
- Your choices will still be there when you return to the site
- Each browser/device will have its own saved wheel
Tips for Best Results
- Add at least 2 choices for meaningful results
- Keep choice text short for better display on the wheel
- For complex decisions, consider using weights (coming soon)
- For yes/no questions, the default wheel is perfect
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues:
- Make sure you’re using a modern, updated browser
- Try clearing your browser cache and reloading the page
- If the wheel doesn’t spin, check that JavaScript is enabled
